LABS-01 through LABS-09: What Each Frame Documents

Status: Archive documentation compiled.

Observation: The LABS series is not decoration. It is calibration data made visible. Each frame documents a stage in the precision measurement process.

The LABS wallpaper series (LABS-01 through LABS-09) captures the visual principles of the syntetiQ system. These are not aesthetic choices. They are structural documentation.

The Series Architecture

LABS-01: Grid Initialization

The foundational frame. A dot grid at 36px spacing fills the viewport. One dot activates at golden ratio position (61.8%, 38.2%). This frame establishes:

  • The grid as structural foundation
  • The hot dot as focal system
  • Golden ratio positioning
  • Frost white substrate dominance

LABS-02: Crosshair Calibration

Crosshair arms extend from the hot dot: 12px length, 6px gap, cement color (#B8B5B0). This frame documents:

  • Precision measurement notation
  • The crosshair as targeting system
  • Secondary color application (cement)
  • Micro-scale interface elements

LABS-03: Concentric Rings

Four rings surround the hot dot at radii: 16px, 24px, 32px, 48px. Each ring represents:

  • Signal propagation zones
  • Layered information hierarchy
  • 1px stroke weight consistency
  • Opacity graduation (100%, 50%, 30%, 15%)

LABS-04: Vernier Scale Integration

Calibration marks appear along grid lines. Tick marks at 25%, 50%, 75% positions. Labels: 000, 025, 050, 075, 100. This frame documents:

  • Measurement precision notation
  • Vernier scale adaptation
  • Micro-typography (10px labels)
  • Data visualization conventions

LABS-05: Substrate Variations

Frost white (#F8F7F4) transitions through cement (#B8B5B0) to midgrey (#828078). This frame establishes:

  • The tonal range of the Labs palette
  • Background hierarchy possibilities
  • Gradient-free transitions
  • Surface material language

LABS-06: Signal Activation

Signal lime (#E6FF1B) appears once. The hot dot activates. Status indicator: CALIBRATION OK. This frame documents:

  • Single activation principle
  • Signal lime usage rules
  • Status code conventions
  • Blink rate (1.5s cycle)

LABS-07: Void Contrast

The frame shifts to void black (#0D0E10) substrate. Frost white elements invert. This frame establishes:

  • Dual-mode system capability
  • High-contrast requirements
  • Propaganda mode preview
  • Inversion logic

LABS-08: Authority Red Integration

Authority red (#DC1212) enters the palette. Used for critical alerts and propaganda directives. This frame documents:

  • The six-word system (CONSUME, OBEY, etc.)
  • High-alert color application
  • Propaganda mode activation
  • Emotional trigger deployment

LABS-09: System Integration

All elements combined: grid, hot dot, crosshairs, rings, vernier scales, substrate variations, signal activation. This is the complete syntetiQ visual system in one frame.

Technical Specifications

Each LABS frame adheres to:

  • 4:5 aspect ratio (portrait)
  • 2400×3000px resolution
  • SVG source for infinite scalability
  • 1px precision at all scales

Usage Context

The LABS series serves multiple functions:

  1. Wallpaper: Device backgrounds that reinforce brand presence
  2. Documentation: Visual reference for the design system
  3. Archive: Historical record of system calibration
  4. Propagation: Shareable assets for brand distribution

The Calibration Metaphor

Laboratory calibration ensures measurement accuracy. The LABS series applies this metaphor to brand systems. Each frame is a checkpoint. Each element is tested. The output is verified.

Directive: Download LABS-09. Set as device wallpaper. Observe how the grid changes your perception of other interfaces.

Closure: Archive documentation complete. Calibration continues.
